AIU Anveshan is an annual competition for university students to develop and showcase their scientific research and innovation. It has been operating since 2007 and is organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
AIU Anveshan is open to full-time students from universities in India affiliated with AIU. Since 2023, the competition has also been open to students from universities in select partner countries. Please contact the organizing team at AIU for details.
AIU Anveshan typically runs between August and March of the following year, in alignment with the academic calendar. The specific dates for each year are published on the website.
AIU Anveshan is a hybrid program. Participants register online, work on their innovation from their respective locations, and submit posters and presentations online. Initial evaluations are usually conducted in person at the participants’ universities, with no travel required. Winners may participate in zonal rounds and the international convention either in person or virtually, depending on the format each year.
You can participate solo or as part of a team. Teams can be formed during online registration or by joining an existing team from the same university. Team size is capped at four students. Cross-university teams are not allowed, except in cases involving partnerships with students from universities outside India. Contact AIU for more details.
Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses. However, host institutions provide free boarding and lodging to all registered participants for the duration of the convention. Participants who are unable to attend in person may have the option to join virtually.
